The AuDHDacious Humans Zoodie Launch: Warmth, Community & a Bit of Chaos (Obviously!)

Yesterday’s live was one of those mornings where technology decided to have a little fun with us. Buttons didn’t do what they were meant to, invites wouldn’t send, and the Wi-Fi had a mind of its own. But once we got going — oh, it was mint!

Jenni and Martha joined me to celebrate the launch of their brand-new AuDHDacious Humans zoodies — and honestly, it couldn’t have been a more fitting Sunday chat. Cosy clothes, good laughs, a few tech hiccups, and lots of heart.

Why a Zoodie and Not a Hoodie?

The big question of the day! Why choose a zoodie (a zip-up hoodie) over your standard pullover?

Turns out, there’s a lot more to it than style. For many of our AuDHDacious Humans — whether it’s the adults or the little ones — comfort, temperature control and sensory needs are everything. A zip means no pulling things over your head, no feeling trapped, and no unpredictable overheating moments.

As Jenni said, “My daughter feels trapped in a hoodie — the zip gives her choice.” And Martha added that extra sensory touch — the zoodie’s heavier fabric gives a comforting, almost weighted-blanket feel. Plus, the zip toggles? Instant fidget toy. We love a bit of functional design!

A Hoodie That Starts Conversations

The zoodies aren’t just comfy — they’re conversation starters. Everywhere Jenni and Martha go, people stop them to ask, “What’s that logo?” or “What does AuDHDacious mean?”

And that’s exactly the point. These designs aren’t quiet or subtle — they’re bold, visible and proud. They say, “We’re here, we’re neurodivergent, and we’re part of something brilliant.”

Even their kids (and Jenni’s 79-year-old mum!) have been rocking the tees and zoodies, creating a proper three-generation Audacious Humans family. From school gates to community spaces, these designs are opening up conversations about neurodiversity that might never have happened otherwise.

The Story Behind the Brand

Jenni and Martha are both ex-teachers, now running Make and Create Club — a space for home-educated, neurodivergent children to learn in a way that truly works for them. No rigid rules, no forced worksheets, just curiosity, creativity and understanding.

Their work is built around one big truth: Learning doesn’t look the same for everyone — and it shouldn’t have to.

They’ve created spaces where children can thrive without masks, where parents can feel supported, and where “being audacious” is celebrated, not hidden.

The zoodies were born from that same ethos — visibility, comfort and belonging. They’re wearable symbols of pride and connection for a community that deserves to be seen.

From Club to Community (and Pumpkin Patches!)

Of course, in true AuDHDacious style, the live didn’t end on a tidy note — there were pumpkins to pick! Jenni and Martha were heading off for their Halloween Club, where the kids were planning to carve pumpkins… and then make them “vomit foam” (their words, not ours 😄). Messy, hilarious, and 100% on-brand.

Because that’s what this community is about — joy, creativity, and celebrating the way our brains and bodies work.
