From hobby to lifeline: The story of Something Profound

 

I got the idea for Something Profound in 2024. To start with, it was a little creative outlet for
fun between naps and Netflix (mostly naps!)
Then life threw me a curveball and I had to step away from traditional work due to chronic
illness. I decided to pour my energy into Something Profound, and it quickly became more
than a hobby. It became a lifeline. A purpose. And now, it’s a small business that I’m so
proud of.
I’ve learnt a lot about running a business and about myself. And I’ve learnt what really
matters when you’re building a business while managing your health at the same time.

I’ve learned a lot this year — about running a business, about myself, and about what really matters when you’re building something from the ground up while also managing your health.

In 2025, to celebrate Something Profound turning one, I launched the affiliate and
influencer programme. A project I’d been dreaming about for months. The first year of
business was wild, beautiful and a little emotional. I’m beyond excited and proud that I’ve
been able to share this journey with you. And this starts with the launch of the Something
Profound affiliate and influencer program.
